Every day and seemingly, every hour, a new announcement of its impact is communicated. The challenge we all face is, how to slow, then ultimately, stop the spread of this virus. One way the CDC and WHO has recommended is through the practice of “social distancing”.
Yesterday, our executive team, evaluated all elements of our operation in support of “social distancing”. Effective today, March 17 th , we will begin the process by moving the following job positions as “work from home” functions:
Human Resources
Information Technology
Pricing
Marketing
Purchasing
Technical Specialists
Outside Sales
Insides Sales
What does this mean for you?
Our outside sales team will not be making generalized, “face to face” sales calls. They will, however, be supporting you via phone, email, text, video conference, etc. with the exception of a critical need that requires “face to face” interaction.
Our inside sales team will also be working from home. They will be equipped with the necessary tools to process your quotes, orders, inventory check, etc., as if they were sitting at their desk in the branch. You will still call into the branch for your inside sales person and your call will be routed to their cell phone, just like it would be routed to their extension at their desk.
Our Technical Specialists team will operate in the same manner as the outside and inside sales teams.
Our counter operations, warehouse and delivery staff will be operating as normal with the same hours of operation.
We are committed to the success of your business and will evaluate the situation on a regular basis to make sure we are not falling short in the service levels you are accustomed to from Springfield Electric.
